Hiking across the Ambrym Ash Plain can often lead to impressive displays of volcanic eruptive forces. This small ash eruption was witnessed in November 2008 as a member of the Volcan Volcanic Hazards Team traversed the deslolate Ash Plain of the Ambrym Caldera.
